Being Americans raised with gigantic top load washers, we were skeptical at first when my husband purchased this model five years ago for a single bedroom rental unit he manages but so far so good! It's still running and has held up well with no problems through several tenants (can't say that for the newer Maytag front load units we've bought with all their electronics issues!). Everyone who has used this washer has been impressed with how well it cleans and dries their clothes. Another added benefit is it uses regular 120 volt outlet only (no 240 volt outlet for the dryer is needed like American dryers require) and it's very quiet. The washer drum is a little small by U.S. super-size-it standards, and a typical cycle takes a couple hours, but if you plan ahead it's a great unit considering it can be installed anywhere (almost..as long as you have a drain and water supplies nearby) and does not need a dryer hot air outlet to outside (it extracts most of the water from clothers in the spin cycle then dries them with built in heating element). The only reason we are not giving it 5 stars is due to the instruction manual that was written in not-all-that-easy-to-understand English (apparently translated from Korean...these units are made in S. Korea I think). That minor bit aside, highly recommended and we'd buy another once this one goes to washer heaven.
